IPOB Fires Back At Akpabio Over Remarks

The Indigenous People of Biafra has criticised Senate President Godswill Akpabio over comments directed at Igbo youths, describing them as pressure tactics rather than a genuine call for peace.

The group, in a statement issued on Tuesday by its spokesperson Emma Powerful, reacted to remarks made by Akpabio in Enugu.

It said the message was aimed at forcing compliance instead of opening dialogue.
The reaction followed Akpabio’s warning that any form of armed struggle would be crushed by state authority, alongside his suggestion of creating an additional state in the South-East.
