Obi Supporters Abuse And Attack Me – Amaechi
Former Rivers governor Rotimi Amaechi says he has faced verbal attacks from supporters of Peter Obi but chose not to respond.
He spoke on Friday in Lagos at a town hall organised by backers within the African Democratic Congress movement.
Amaechi said despite the criticism directed at him, he remained silent to avoid worsening tensions.
He noted that engaging in exchanges would only create more division in the political space.
The former minister explained that his decision was guided by a desire for peace, especially as political activities ahead of 2027 begin to build.
He urged supporters across parties to maintain civility.
The event brought together his supporters to discuss political direction within the ADC, as alignments and debates continue among opposition figures.
