Wike Declares PDP Crisis Over
The Nyesom Wike has said the Supreme Court of Nigeria ruling has ended the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party.
He spoke on Thursday in Abuja, stating that the judgment has settled all disputes over leadership in the party.
He explained that the court decision upheld the party’s convention and dismissed attempts to create parallel structures.
The ruling, he said, confirms that there is now only one recognised leadership within the PDP.
Wike also clarified that the issue of suspension involving Samuel Anyanwu was not part of the case before the court.
He added that all legal challenges against the party’s structure failed at different stages.
The minister urged party members to follow laid-down rules and avoid actions that could cause fresh conflict.
He maintained that the PDP is now stable and ready to function as a strong opposition ahead of future elections.
