Azubuike said if Kalu plans to contest, he should openly state it instead of what he described as political manoeuvring.

He added that the people of Abia are waiting for clarity, noting that the political space should not be filled with uncertainty ahead of the election.

He also expressed strong support for Governor Alex Otti, claiming that many residents are already backing him for another term.

According to him, the current administration has gained support based on performance rather than loyalty or pressure.

The party chieftain added that voters in the state are now more aware and less open to influence.

He warned that attempts to sway opinions through pressure or promises would not succeed, insisting that the political climate has changed ahead of 2027.
