The monarch, Joseph Oloyede, was jailed for fraud linked to COVID-19 relief funds.

Despite the court judgment and documents submitted to the state, the community said the government has delayed action on the matter.

Leaders of the Aribile and Fagbemokun ruling houses said the delay has created tension and affected traditional activities.

They warned that leaving the throne vacant for long has brought challenges, including disputes over land and the inability to perform key rites.

The community urged swift intervention to restore order and dignity to the throne.

They also called for the appointment of officials to support the selection of a new monarch and prevent further unrest.
