The project involves redesigning the Abuja City Gate to reflect the identity of the nation’s capital.

Plans include a water fountain representing the 36 states and the FCT, as well as recreational spaces for residents and visitors.

The initiative was said to have been inspired by the First Lady.
Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that contractors are meeting deadlines.

He also confirmed that other major projects, including the Court of Appeal complex and judges’ quarters, are nearing completion and will be ready around the same period.

He added that additional housing for heads of courts is expected to be delivered later in the year.

The FCT Administration says the projects are part of efforts to improve infrastructure and upgrade key public facilities in Abuja.
