Witnesses said the attackers stormed the communities, fired gunshots, and forcefully took dozens of residents, including women, children, and a pregnant woman.

According to locals, the kidnappers later contacted the community, demanding ₦30 million and four motorcycles for the victims’ release.

Families say they have sold property and farm produce to raise funds but are still far from meeting the demand.

Residents also described worsening hardship, noting that poor network coverage makes it difficult to contact security agencies during emergencies.

Many have fled their homes, while farming activities—once the backbone of the community—have been severely disrupted.

Community leaders and residents are now calling on the government and security agencies to intervene urgently, rescue the victims, and restore peace to the area.

As of the time of reporting, authorities have yet to issue an official response.
