Tinubu Approves New Term For NSCDC Chief
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a new five-year term for Ahmed Audi as Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The renewed appointment took effect on Friday and was made public a day later.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
It confirmed that Audi will continue to lead the NSCDC for another term in office.
Audi has headed the civil defence agency in recent years, overseeing its operations across the country.
His renewed tenure signals continuity in the leadership of the paramilitary organisation.
The NSCDC plays a key role in protecting critical infrastructure, supporting internal security efforts and assisting other law enforcement agencies nationwide.
