His former campaign spokesman and National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Dr Yunusa Tanko, said there is no investigation or arrest plan involving the Department of State Services or the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Tanko stated that Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, has no criminal record and has never been indicted by anti-graft authorities.

He said rumours linking Obi and other opposition figures in the African Democratic Congress to possible arrests are baseless and meant to create fear within the opposition.

According to him, Obi and his supporters are prepared and will not be intimidated by any move aimed at derailing their political plans.

The remarks come amid ongoing investigations involving prominent opposition figures, including former governors and senior political actors.

The situation has raised tension within opposition circles, with concerns that court cases and probes could reshape alliances and strategies ahead of the next presidential contest.
