Atiku’s Aide Responds To Fayose Threat
An aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has hit back at former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose following his threat to reveal more details about a private political meeting.
The exchange centres on a reported discussion between Atiku and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde in Minna.
Paul Ibe, speaking on X, dismissed Fayose’s comments and said the former governor wrongly accused him of authoring a statement that sparked the dispute.
He clarified that the controversial piece titled “Peter Ayodele Fayose’s Beer Parlour Tales of Infamy” was written by another aide, Ambassador Phrank Shaibu, not him.
Ibe went further, mocking Fayose’s warning to respond within 48 hours and suggesting the ex governor may have misread the situation.
He questioned why the ultimatum was necessary and taunted him over the tone of his earlier remarks.
Fayose had earlier described Ibe’s reaction as amusing and urged Atiku to distance himself from the statement.
He warned that if no rebuttal is issued within the deadline, he would reveal more about the Minna meeting, including those involved and what was allegedly discussed about Nyesom Wike.
