El Rufai Raises Alarm Over Fear Of Arrest
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El Rufai has said he believes the Federal Government may move against him and have him arrested.
He made the remark during an interview with BBC Hausa on Wednesday.
El Rufai, who recently left the All Progressives Congress for the Social Democratic Party, claimed that pressure is being placed on politicians to either return to the ruling party or stay loyal to it.
He suggested that dissenting voices are being targeted.
He alleged that some of his former associates in Kaduna have already been arrested, describing it as a warning sign.
According to him, it may only be a matter of time before he faces similar action.
The former governor has been openly critical of the current administration in recent months, a stance that has drawn political attention nationwide.
