Rivers APC Urges Fubara To Call Stakeholders Meeting
The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress aligned with Chief Emeka Beke has urged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to urgently call a stakeholders’ meeting to set a clear path for the party.
The appeal came from the faction’s state publicity secretary, Dalington Nwauju, who spoke on Friday in Port Harcourt following fresh clarity on who leads political parties at the state level.
The request follows comments made by presidential spokesman Daniel Bwala, who said President Bola Tinubu recognises all serving governors as leaders of their parties in their respective states, regardless of party affiliation.
The faction welcomed the position, saying it supports their long-standing stance since Fubara joined the party and helps resolve lingering disputes over APC leadership in Rivers State.
Beyond the call for unity, the group renewed its demand for the resignation of the party’s national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, and asked the national leadership to respect court rulings and organise fresh congresses to stabilise the party.
