The appeal comes as university workers watch closely after ASUU sealed a fresh agreement with the government.
The call was made on Wednesday by the leadership of both unions, led by NASU General Secretary Prince Peters Adeyemi and SSANU President Mohammed Ibrahim. They praised the ASUU deal as a positive step while insisting non-academic staff should not be left behind.
The unions said the matter affects public universities across the country, where non-academic workers have waited for years for improved pay, welfare, safety at work, and better funding for campus facilities.

They warned that slow action could disturb the calm currently holding in the university system. According to the committee, continued delays may push workers to react, risking disruptions in academic activities nationwide.
The unions said swift completion of the talks would protect stability in universities and support the growth of strong academic communities. They urged the government to act quickly to avoid tension and keep campuses running smoothly.
