President Bola Tinubu has directed the military, police, and the Department of State Services to hunt down those behind the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji community in Niger State.

The order followed the killing of 42 villagers during a violent raid on the community, where attackers stormed the area, opened fire on residents, and abducted women and children.

The assault happened in Kasuwan Daji, a settlement in Niger State, with security sources linking the attackers to terrorist groups believed to be fleeing pressure in Sokoto and Zamfara States.
The Presidency said the President issued the directive on Sunday after receiving security briefings on the incident and the movement of armed groups through forest routes in the region.

Tinubu also instructed security agencies to rescue all abducted victims without delay and to intensify patrols around vulnerable communities, especially those close to forests used as hideouts.
The President condoled with affected families and urged Nigerians to remain united, assuring residents that the government would pursue the attackers relentlessly and restore peace to the affected areas.
