Christian communities across Bauchi State are the focus of a N500 million Christmas support approved by Governor Bala Mohammed to ease the cost of the festive season.

The approval was confirmed in Bauchi by the chairman of the Christmas gift distribution committee, Abdon Dalla-Gin, who said the intervention targets churches, religious leaders and vulnerable groups across the state.
The funds were used to purchase food items including 171 bulls, 222 rams, 3,462 bags of 50kg rice and 504 cartons of 25-litre groundnut oil for distribution to beneficiaries.

The items are being shared among the five blocs of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Bauchi, senior Christian leaders, faith-based groups and less-privileged residents in various communities.
The initiative is aimed at helping families celebrate Christmas with relief despite rising living costs, while also promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among religious groups in the state.
The state government said the gesture complements the ongoing payment of December salaries and reflects its commitment to inclusive governance and support for all communities during the festive period.
