The move came shortly after Bago held his first council meeting with newly sworn-in commissioners at the Government House, where he outlined plans to reset key government roles.

The governor said the step is part of efforts to refresh the structure of his administration and improve how government duties are carried out across the state.

According to the statement, the advisers were disengaged to create room for a reorganisation of portfolios in line with the New Niger agenda.

Bago expressed appreciation to the affected aides for their service to the state and wished them well as his administration moves forward with its reform plans.
