The road is being built in phases to improve movement across the capital. The section between Ring Road I and Arterial Road N20 in Katampe District has already been completed and was commissioned by President Bola Tinubu during his administration’s second anniversary.

Another section, from N20 to Ring Road II, is ongoing under the Jahi District Infrastructure Project. The remaining stretch from Ring Road III to Arterial Road N40 is still undeveloped and will eventually link to the road leading to the Renewed Hope Estate in Karsana District.

The part of Arterial Road N16 under inspection passes through the Gwarimpa Housing Estate. Once finished, it will offer new access routes for residents of Gwarimpa, Bunkoro, Wupa, and nearby districts.

The project is also expected to boost activity in Sector Center E, an important commercial hub made up of four districts: Gwarimpa II, Kafe, Wupa, and Bunkoro.

Officials say the completed corridor will ease traffic, open new development areas, and strengthen links across Phase III of the Federal Capital City.
