Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has formally moved to the African Democratic Congress months after cutting ties with the All Progressives Congress.

He registered at the ADC ward office in U/Sarki, Kaduna, where he also picked up his membership card alongside loyal supporters, including former aides and local government chairmen.

El-Rufai’s switch follows his resignation from the APC earlier in the year. At the time, he said the party had drifted away from the values that once guided its formation. In his letter, he accused the party’s leadership of ignoring repeated warnings about its direction and abandoning the ideals that brought several opposition groups together in 2013.
