The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has conducted a promotional examination for junior civil servants under the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

The computer-based test took place on Friday at Ade-Ola International School in Kubwa, Abuja, with 450 out of the 476 expected candidates participating.

JAMB’s Director in charge of the Abuja zone, Hajia Zainab Hamzat, said the exercise went smoothly, describing it as a “third-party exam” conducted for the Head of Service to assess officers for promotion.

She explained that the exam was held in two sessions — morning and afternoon. Out of 250 expected candidates in the morning, 232 were present, while 218 out of 226 attended the afternoon session.
Hamzat added that the exercise included participants from various agencies such as immigration, civil defence, and fire service, all under the supervision of the Head of Service.
The Director of Ade-Ola International School, Mercy Olaosegbe, commended JAMB for maintaining high standards in its professional examinations. She noted that the centre had all the required facilities to conduct the test, which has earned it continued approval for similar third-party examinations.
