Soludo Takes Campaign To Orumba As Communities Donate Millions

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has continued his campaign ahead of the November 8 Anambra governorship election, taking his message of continuity and development to Ajalli in Orumba North and Umunze in Orumba South.

The governor told residents that the area is his home and thanked them for their long-standing support.

During his visit, Soludo met with traditional leaders, community groups, and supporters, presenting his administration’s record in infrastructure, healthcare, and education. He said his government has been focused on transforming the state through road construction, school renovation, and improved access to healthcare, and promised to accelerate progress if re-elected.

He called on voters to be vigilant during the election, warning against mistakes that could lead to invalid votes. He described his campaign as a people-driven movement, saying that the level of community involvement and support his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), is receiving across the state has never been witnessed before.

Soludo expressed appreciation for the overwhelming backing from Orumba residents during his first election, saying his return to the area felt like a homecoming. He urged the people to prepare their Permanent Voter’s Cards and come out en masse to vote for APGA, assuring them that his government will continue to work to improve lives across Anambra.

The governor listed several ongoing projects in Orumba, including the rehabilitation of roads, upgrading of schools, and expansion of healthcare facilities. He pledged that the next four years would focus on consolidating these gains and driving rapid development in every local government area.

He said his vision for Anambra is a society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, promising that his administration would remain committed to transparency, inclusiveness, and service delivery.

Prominent figures at the event included former Deputy Governor Chief Emeka Sibudu, Commissioner for Agriculture Dr. Foster Ihejiofor, Chief of Staff Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, House of Representatives member Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, Lady Ifeoma Ekwueme, Mrs. Amaka Iruegbu, and Chief Ben Nwankwo. They reaffirmed their support for Soludo, insisting that APGA remains the dominant political force in the Orumba area.

In a strong show of support, Orumba North communities contributed N75 million to the campaign, while Orumba South donated N150 million, declaring their readiness to deliver victory for Soludo and APGA in the November election.
