The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has urged its members to safeguard their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and ensure readiness for the 2027 general elections.
The state party chairman, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, made the call on Saturday in Gusau while addressing APC members and supporters from Anka Local Government Area. He was represented by the state Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris.
Danfulani said the large turnout of members signaled hope for the APC’s victory in the next elections. He stressed that no one could vote without a valid PVC and encouraged members to resolve any issues with their cards at INEC offices.
“For those without PVCs or those whose cards have expired, I urge you to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration to register and collect new ones. Keep them safe because they are your weapons on election day,” he said.
He commended the unity achieved within the state APC in recent months and expressed confidence that the party would reclaim Zamfara in 2027.
Over 20 political groups under the Ahmad Sharu-Anka Political Network, comprising youths and women, pledged solidarity with the APC leadership during the event.
Sharu-Anka, a former state Commissioner of Works, assured continuous loyalty to the party and reaffirmed his support for APC leaders, including Senator Abdul’aziz Yari and Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle.
