Security presence was visible from the newly upgraded Ladoke Akintola International Airport through major routes leading to the venue. Personnel from the Nigerian Army, Police, Civil Defence, Federal Road Safety Corps, Amotekun, and the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency lined up strategic points to ensure order and safety ahead of the president’s arrival.

By midday, dignitaries, royal fathers, and prominent personalities had begun arriving at Mapo Hall for what is seen as a historic moment for Ibadanland. Security operatives directed traffic around the city while blocking key access routes, including those from Gate to Agodi and roads leading directly to the coronation ground.

Despite the restrictions, movement within the city remained calm with fewer vehicles on the usually busy axis. Members of the public were seen walking long distances toward Oje, Beere, and Mapo areas as vehicles were barred from entering the immediate vicinity of the hall.

The coronation of Oba Ladoja is being marked as a landmark occasion for the ancient city, drawing attention across Nigeria, and security operatives are leaving no chances as preparations reach their peak.
