Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has cautioned contractors in Abuja against abandoning projects midway, insisting they must remain on site until completion.
Speaking on Thursday at the flag-off of the Arterial Road N20 (Solomon Lar Way) linking Obafemi Awolowo Way to the Airport Expressway, Wike said it would be embarrassing for contractors to pull out after mobilization.
He assured residents that Abuja’s transformation is on course under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that the city will compete with major world capitals before the end of Tinubu’s first term.
Wike added that his administration’s interventions go beyond roads and infrastructure, extending to health and satellite towns to ensure balanced development across the FCT.
