The commendation came after a three-day inspection tour by the party’s State Executive Council, which assessed projects and governance activities in the southern, northern, and central senatorial districts. The tour covered roads, schools, hospitals, agricultural farms, power facilities, and major projects like the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport and the Ring Road Phase 1.

Oyebanji, elected in October 2022 under the APC, has a long history of public service in Ekiti, having previously served as Chief of Staff and Secretary to the State Government. His administration has prioritized infrastructure, social services, and economic transformation since taking office.

According to the APC, the governor’s investments in education, healthcare, and agriculture have attracted investors, created jobs, and boosted the state’s economy. The party added that his six-pillar development model has ensured projects and programmes are evenly distributed across all 16 local governments and 22 LCDAs in the state.

The party leaders noted that Oyebanji’s focus on reviving moribund enterprises, addressing insecurity, tackling poverty, and expanding road infrastructure has positioned Ekiti as one of the safest states in Nigeria. They also pointed to the state’s high rating in financial prudence and ease of doing business, which has drawn both local and foreign investment.

Everywhere inspected, the council said, there were visible signs of progress in urban and rural development. They credited Oyebanji’s leadership for driving continuous construction and transformation efforts that have given the state what they described as a new face among its peers.

The APC expressed confidence that the governor would return for a second term to complete ongoing projects and deliver more for the people of Ekiti.
