The minister clarified that his polling unit is Babura Kofar Arewa Primary School Polling Unit 002, not Babura Kofar Arewa Polling Unit 001 as reported. He said he personally voted there, and the official result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed APC with 188 votes against the PDP’s 164.
According to him, the outcome confirmed the APC’s victory at his polling unit. He urged party supporters, the media, and the public to disregard the “fake news” and rely only on authentic results released by INEC.
The by-election was conducted by INEC to fill the vacant Garki/Babura Federal Constituency seat in Jigawa State.
