The Presidency has refuted claims made by former African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu, who alleged he was offered three ministerial positions in exchange for abandoning plans to join an opposition coalition.

The statement from the government came late Wednesday through the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala. Using his official X handle, Bwala said the allegations were made up and had no basis.

Nwosu had claimed that senior government officials approached him with promises of political appointments if he agreed to step away from efforts to align the ADC with a coalition of opposition parties. However, the Presidency insists that no such offer was made, arguing that only the President has the authority to assign ministerial positions.
