Military officers, including Army Generals and Service Chiefs, gave the former leader a final salute. His coffin, draped in the national flag, was carried by senior officers to the burial site, where a 21-gun salute was fired, marking the end of his long journey in public service.

Obi’s visit is part of a broader wave of condolences from political figures, traditional leaders, and ordinary Nigerians who have continued to honor Buhari’s legacy. His trip to Daura reflects the mood of the nation as it reflects on the life and leadership of one of its most prominent figures.
