Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, has appealed to world leaders and first ladies to act with urgency in building a more inclusive future for young people.
Speaking at a global platform, she stressed the need for leaders to stop reacting to problems after they arise and instead take deliberate steps to prepare youths for leadership, innovation, and productive citizenship.
Her message focused on collaboration among governments, first ladies, and international partners to ensure young people are equipped with the right values, education, and opportunities. According to her, the future will only be secure if world leaders invest in it today by placing youth empowerment at the heart of global development efforts.
She urged stakeholders to treat youth engagement not as a slogan but as a clear priority that requires policy direction, funding, and a sustained commitment from all sectors of society.
