Kogi PDP Makes Bold 2027 Move
The Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State has set its sights on a clean sweep of National Assembly seats ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring its intention to win all three Senate seats and seven seats in the House of Representatives.
The party leadership made this known during a political meeting held in Adavi Local Government Area.
The state chairman of the party, Muhammed Gambo, said the PDP was repositioning itself as a platform built on justice, fairness and equity, which he described as key to solving the challenges facing both Nigeria and Kogi State.
He also praised Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, describing her as a strong performer whose impact has boosted the party’s image.
Speaking at the gathering organised by the Natasha Avabe Group in Zango Citi, Gambo assured supporters that the party would adopt a different approach going forward.
He said women and young people would be given priority through deliberate policies aimed at inclusion and empowerment.
The PDP leadership said its recent gains in Kogi Central during the 2023 elections had strengthened confidence within the party.
Gambo’s visit to Adavi, seen as a major base of support for Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, was described as a move to build momentum and expand the party’s influence across the state ahead of 2027.
